PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Centres for Learning and Development
The Centre for Learning & Development (CLD) in Tallaght University Hospital was established in 2013 in the Human Resources Directorate. It is an amalgamation of the Centre of Nurse Education and other personnel who are involved in education and training for all cohorts of staff across the organisation.
The CLD works with Higher Education Institutions, HSE National Clinical Programmes, Department of Health, Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD) and the HSE in developing and supporting implementation of relevant education components of national policy/ PPPG’s.
The CLD also has a regional role to work closely with Directors of Nursing in Older Persons Care, Public Health nursing, Mental Health nursing, Intellectual Disability nursing and other relevant support staff in the Dublin and Midlands Region in developing and delivering programmes which supports them in relation to an identified service need and organisational objectives and priorities.
The Registered Nurse Tutor will form part of the education teams in the Centre for Learning and Development. The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse Tutor role is the co-ordination, development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive education, training and development programmes as assigned by the Head of Learning and Development.
