Senior Process Business Analyst
Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Business Analyst to join a dynamic, customer-focused technology delivery team supporting a broad range of complex business areas. This is an initial six-month contract with the potential to extend for a further six months. The role will focus on understanding, mapping and improving large-scale business processes within a complex operational and technical environment.
You will work with a significant range of internal and external stakeholders to discover the current As Is process landscape, identify business needs and translate findings into clear, prioritised requirements and practical recommendations. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will bring structured analytical thinking, strong facilitation skills and the ability to create shared understanding across business, technical and delivery teams.
This role is suited to a senior analyst who is confident working across complex process, governance, data, security and regulatory considerations. You will help ensure that process improvements and solution requirements are aligned with broader functional and technical needs, while supporting change management and adoption across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will lead the discovery and documentation of existing business processes, using a range of recognised analysis techniques and approaches to build an accurate As Is process landscape. You will develop and maintain clear process maps, applying appropriate modelling methodologies and standards, including Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
You will facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder-engagement sessions with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will draw out process knowledge, clarify ownership and decision points, and create a common understanding of complex business areas and their operational requirements.
You will elicit, define, analyse and prioritise detailed business requirements, translating business-user needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements. You will maintain effective requirements documentation and ensure that requirements remain aligned with the intended business outcomes and wider delivery priorities.
You will analyse complex processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication and opportunities for improvement. You will perform root-cause analysis of problems identified in the current-state landscape and develop practical, evidence-based options and recommendations in partnership with business users.
You will ensure that process and business requirements are aligned with broader functional and technical considerations, including enterprise solution architecture, IT security, data governance and regulatory requirements. You will identify relevant dependencies, constraints and risks, ensuring that they are visible and appropriately managed through the delivery lifecycle.
You will support the transition of agreed improvements and solutions into the organisation, contributing to change-management and adoption activity. You will work with stakeholders to help embed new processes and ways of working, ensuring that delivered changes are understood, practical and sustainable.
