As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals bring their commitment to accuracy and quality to deliver groundbreaking innovations.  </div><div> </div><div>Discover Impactful Work:  </div><div>The role of Sample Coordinator is to provide support in the form of sample and standard handling, perform administrative tasks in the Sample Management department and fulfil laboratory requests.  </div><div> </div><div>Key responsibilities:  </div><div><ul><li>Performs a variety of sample and standard tasks (receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, check-out, etc. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>May participate in physical return and disposal of materials in support of the laboratory. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Communicates status of samples / standards to appropriate laboratory staff. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Guides and advises laboratory staff in sample / standard procedures. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Completes investigation and deviation forms as necessary, and determines appropriate CAPAs. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Reviews and provides feedback on laboratory requests, ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Trains on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements. Responds to environmental unit alarms and participates in on-call responsibilities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Performs work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Key Experience  </div><div><ul><li>Min. Leaving Cert education  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>3rd level education in science related discipline would be desirable  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Previous experience of min. 2 year in a GMP environment that provides the desirable experience  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent work ethic and ability to work to deadlines  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Good communication skills and attention to detail  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Basic knowledge of inventory flow and control </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of laboratory and regulatory requirements (documentation, sample storage) </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Hours: (applicants must be able to work these shifts) </div><div>Morning shift - 6.30am - 3.15pm M-T, 6.30am - 2.15pm F. </div><div>Core Shift - 8.30am - 5.15 M-T, 8.30am - 4.15pm F. </div><div>Evening Shift - 12.30pm - 9pm M-T, 11.30am-7pm F. </div><div>Rotational shift, evening shift every 4 weeks. </div><div> </div><div>Work Environment   </div><div>Thermo Fisher Scientific values the health and wellbeing of our employees.
