Thrive: Trinity College Dublin's Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030 This Assistant Professor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Computational Engineering) will be appointed to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in the Discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering. The post holder will build on the existing educational HCI initiative in Computational Engineering and complement the existing staff in the wider Departmental and School areas of Digital Media Signal Processing, Circuits and Systems, Digital Communication,  Bioengineering, Power Management and Control, as well as the emerging area of Quantum Algorithms and Communication. Increasingly the research groups in the Department and the School are interdisciplinary. In this recruitment call we are interested in growing our team in Computational Engineering in the context of AI and Deep Learning as it applies to Digital Visual Media Processing. We encourage applications from candidates with research interests within this context e.g. biomedical, automotive, entertainment and broadcast systems, quantum algorithms, biodiversity and climate monitoring. The postholder will deliver modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate level as part of an HCI initiative in Computational Engineering, contribute to the growth of the E3 programme across the Faculty and add to the activities of the Sigmedia Group (sigmedia.tv). Post Status Tenure Track - This position is Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
