The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies is one of the largest of the 12 Schools in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and is home to seven disciplines, including Hispanic Studies. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of a research-intensive department which is highly committed to developing best practice in the teaching of Spanish language and to promoting our national and international reputation in the discipline. The role of Spanish Language Assistant is key to the delivery of the Department’s programmes through the Spanish language with focus on oral interaction and expression. Post status: This position is full- time, 3 years fixed-term, term time only (9 months per year) 2026-2029. The successful candidate must be available to start 1st Sept 2026. Salary: Appointment will be made at Language Assistant grade at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€34,175 - €36,836 per annum].
