Post ID: 038939 Post summary: Trinity College Dublin Disability Service is seeking an Occupational Therapist (new graduate or experienced) to deliver direct, student-focused supports to disabled students across the University. The primary purpose of the role is to provide evidence-informed occupational therapy interventions that enable students with disabilities to participate fully in academic, social, and university life. This will include delivery of structured one-to-one supports and group-based programmes aimed at enhancing self-management, executive functioning, participation skills, wellbeing, and progression through higher education. The post is particularly suited to a new graduate seeking to consolidate core professional competencies within a supervised, university-based practice environment. Graduating students (2026) are welcome to apply. Where CORU registration is pending, the successful candidate will undertake project work and contribute to service initiatives under the supervision of senior Occupational Therapy staff until registration is confirmed. The Occupational Therapist will operate within an established, evidence-based Disability Service (DS) aligned to the University’s Strategic Plan and Disability Action commitments. The role offers structured clinical experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to service development, while maintaining a clear focus on high-quality, student-centred practice. Post status: Specific Purpose Contract The primary purpose of this role is to deliver evidence-informed occupational therapy interventions that support students with disabilities to fully engage in academic, social, and university life. The postholder will provide structured one-to-one interventions and facilitate group programmes focused on self-management, executive functioning, participation skills, wellbeing, and successful progression through higher education. This is a Specific Purpose Contract offered as backfill for Occupational Therapists assigned to Trinity College Dublin’s Strategic Plan implementation. The appointment is required to ensure continuity of student supports within the Disability Service for the duration of this purpose. Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€46,410 - €58,086 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
