Post Summary

The post holder is responsible for the eventful and demanding day to day management and operation of the School of Nursing and Midwifery postgraduate taught, research and microcredential programmes. They will also steer the medium and long term operation, development and quality improvement of that area. They lead the postgraduate team ensuring the delivery of excellent stakeholder and student experience throughout their journey at TCD. They represent the School at College level meetings of strategic importance, such as postgraduate renewal meetings, and contribute to decisions made at these meetings. An expert understanding of College regulations, School and College course administration and management processes, and excellent communications skills are essential. The ability both lead and work effectively within a team is critical. As is an ability to work with external clinical partners and funders at a planning and management level in the development of postgraduate courses and interpreting the needs of the wider healthcare sector. They must have expert knowledge in College processes, particularly relating to prograduate education in order ensure the delivery of quality programmes which meet the needs of our clinical partners.
This leadership role is both operational and strategic, contributing to university-wide initiatives and aligning postgraduate education with the College and School's strategic plans. Together with academic colleagues and central College departments such as Academic Registry, they will play a key role in envisioning, developing and implementing projects and pilot programmes critical to the achievement of innovation-led aims and government initiatives, such as the Human Capital Initiative project.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this appointment is to provide temporary cover for the substantive post holder, who is currently on authorised leave. The employment will cease upon the return of the substantive post holder.

35 hours per week
Salary:
This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€58,415 - €68,639 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
