9 Months Fixed-Term, Part-Time Post (0.8 FTE)
The Department of Psychiatry, University College Cork is undertaking an innovative mixed-methods research project examining antidepressant prescribing and deprescribing practices in Irish primary care. Funded through the HSE Consultant Innovation Fund, the project will combine a quantative study on prescribing data with qualitative research involving General Practitioners and Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) contributors. The study aims to generate evidence to inform future interventions and research to support safe, patient-centered antidepressant deprescribing in primary care. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant (part-time, fixed-term) to support the delivery of this project and contribute to all aspects of the research process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in health services research, primary care research, health data science, qualitative research methods, and academic dissemination.

Salary: 80% of €34,129 - €44,311 p.a (IUA RA Salary Scale)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
