Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant - Technical in Cancer Research @UCC. The Research Assistant - Technical plays a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of clinical trial data and samples. The position supports both ongoing and newly developed studies and contributes directly to the successful delivery of clinical research projects.
UCC CTG is an HRB-funded collaborative network bringing together cancer specialists and research professionals across the South of Ireland. As part of Cancer Research @UCC, the group supports translational research within the College of Medicine & Health at University College Cork.
The network includes three cancer trials units:
• CUH/UCC Cancer Centre
• University Hospital Waterford
• Bons Secours Hospital Cork

About the CUH/UCC Cancer Trials Unit
With over two decades of activity, the unit supports a population of approximately 1.2 million people. Its portfolio includes:
• Phase 1–3 clinical trials
• Haematologic and solid tumour studies
• Radiation therapy and surgical trials
• Academic (Cancer Trials Ireland) and industry-sponsored trials
• A growing portfolio of investigator-initiated trials (IITs)

Appointment may be made on the Research Assistant IUA Salary Scale: €33,791 - €43,872
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
