School Manager - School of the Human Environment
Permanent Whole Time Post
UCC wishes to appoint an experienced administrator to the role of Manager of the School of the Human Environment, reporting to the Head of School. The School comprises four departments – Geography, Archaeology, Classics and Planning, and delivers a range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, as well as hosting funded research students and early career researchers. The Manager will play a key role in implementing the strategic and operational plans of the School of the Human Environment. The Manager will be responsible, with the Head of School and School Executive Management Committee, for co-ordinating and supervising the operation of administrative and support functions in the School of the Human Environment. To do so, they will oversee the management of the School’s finances and governance structures, committee and project activities, and periodic reviews and audits in accordance with the policies and procedures set down by the University. The School Manager will also liaise closely with the Manager of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, and principal administrative officers in College and Central University Offices.

Appointment may be made on the Admin III Salary Scale: €60,260 - €71,946 (Scale B) / €57,375 - €68,462 (Scale A).
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
