PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER - INFANT Research Centre
1 Year Specific Purpose Whole Time or Part-Time Appointment

The INFANT Research Centre at University College Cork (UCC) is dedicated to advancing maternal and child health research. Its overarching vision is to drive translational research that places Ireland at the forefront of this field. INFANT is committed to delivering scientific excellence and meaningful impact through a broad spectrum of academic, translational and commercial activities.
The Centre brings together a diverse team of clinicians and scientists, supported by selected industry partners, international collaborators, patient advocates and families. INFANT’s work is funded by a variety of national and international agencies, including EU programmes, industry and philanthropic organisations.
INFANT now seeks an accomplished senior professional to lead the Centre’s Communications & Public Engagement function. Reporting to the Centre Director, the post‑holder will shape strategic messaging, outreach and stakeholder relations, ensuring that INFANT’s research excellence is visible and influential nationally and internationally. The role requires close liaison with UCC Communications, Marketing, Alumni & Development, funders, policy‑makers and the media. The successful candidate will combine high‑level strategic vision with hands‑on delivery, demonstrating authority in science communication, digital engagement and public‑participation methodologies.

Salary
: € 65,000 personal rate per annum or pro rata (0.8FTE) if part -time.
