Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Sport and Exercise Science, UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science, Specified Purpose Applications are invited for a specified purpose post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Sport and Exercise Science within UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science Applications are invited for a circa 6-9 maternity cover, full-time academic post as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above or below the bar) in the area of sport and exercise science in the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.  The role will focus on exercise testing and exercise prescription. The role will encompass the design, delivery and assessment of undergraduate programmes, primarily related to exercise physiology, strength and conditioning and/or motor control. The post holder will be expected to contribute to research led teaching within the school. The School is a multidisciplinary unit which is highly research active; the post holder will support and contribute to the research endeavours of the School, research student supervision and to school administration. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a contribution to School administration. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Below The Bar (7944) Salary Scale: €42,099 - €71,997 Per Annum OR 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €64,753 - €102,539 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 11/02/2026 Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
