Post-doctoral Research Fellow 1,UCD School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science, Temporary 27 months post Applications are invited for a  temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow 1  within UCD School of Biomolecular & Biomedical Science. The bioeconomy encompasses the production of renewable biological resources and the conversion of these resources into value added products, such as food, feed, biobased products and bioenergy.  The SFI funded Bioeconomy research centre (BiOrbic) performs world leading frontier research in collaboration with industry to convert Ireland's natural resources on land and in the sea to a wide range of value added products for the development of a sustainable Irish bioeconomy.  Biorbic’s research programme aligns with the European Biobased Industries Joint undertaking (BBI-JU) strategic research and innovation agenda (SIRA). The research project will investigate the use of products emerging from the fermentation of biobased resources as natural anti-microbial agents.  The research project will use microbiological techniques, analytical techniques, and chemical modifications of the bio-based anti-microbial compounds. Fixed Salary: €46,805 per annum. Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 07/04/2026. Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
