Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Medicine.
This post will investigate immune cell metabolic reprogramming in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a particular focus on macrophage and fibroblast interactions that drive lung fibrosis. The project will utilise primary patient samples, precision-cut lung slices (PCLS), ex vivo culture systems, and advanced metabolic and transcriptomic profiling approaches to understand how altered immune cell metabolism contributes to progressive fibrotic lung disease.
Salary Range: €46,805 - €53,391 Per Annum .
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
