Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1, UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science, 22 months Applications are invited for a temporary  post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science. Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on a collaborative research project between UCD, BiOrbic, and Adesco Nutricines, a global leader in feed and grain technologies. The project, “Integrative Assessment of Organic Acid–Preserved Grains: Nutritional Value, Animal Performance, and Food System Sustainability”, evaluates organic acid (OA) preservation as a low-carbon alternative to conventional grain drying, supporting circular bioeconomy principles in pig and poultry feed systems. The research integrates animal nutrition, grain physicochemical characterisation, feed hygiene and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to deliver robust scientific evidence for sustainable feed manufacturing and livestock production. The successful applicant will be based at UCD Lyons Farm, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. Salary:  POST DOC LEVEL 1 €46,805 per annum . Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 03/04/2026.
