Research Assistant, UCD School of Medicine/Systems Biology Ireland, Temporary 36 months Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Medicine/Systems Biology Ireland Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to support a programme of work on immune-oncology with a focus on immune checkpoints in T cells. Based within the Research Groups of Prof Walter Kolch and Prof Donal Brennan in Systems Biology Ireland (SBI) at UCD, the Fellow will contribute to the ambitious Precision Oncology Ireland (POI) Programme, which is coordinated by SBI and brings together researchers across multiple institutions. The role requires (1) substantial experience in immunology, (2) extensive hands-on experience in the isolation and culture of immune cells, and flow cytometry, (3) good hands-on experience in protein biochemistry, such as Western blotting and sample preparation for proteomics, (4) good understanding of the molecular mechanisms of immune cell activation and immune suppression in cancer. Salary Range: €33,291 - €40,590 Per Annum Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
