Research Support Administrator, UCD School of Civil Engineering, Temporary Part-Time (0.6 FTE), 3 Years Applications are invited for a temporary part-time (0.6 FTE) post of a Research Support Administrator within UCD School of Civil Engineering. The Research Support Administrator will be central to the successful delivery of the School’s research mission providing both pre- and post-award support. For the pre-award phase, they will identify appropriate funding calls and work directly with researchers in a tailored manner in support of the development of competitive research proposals. In particular, they will primarily provide input into non-scientific aspects of the grant application, relating to management (project management, resourcing, budget allocation and approval) and impact. For the post-award phase, the Research Support Administrator will facilitate initial negotiations to aid project mobilisation, including completion of required agreements (legal, data transfer, consortium etc). The Research Support Administrator will also provide feedback to support strategic planning by the School’s Research, Innovation and Impact Committee. In all aspects of this role, the Research Support Administrator will prioritise those researchers within the School with limited research experience, including early career scientists.  The Research Support Administrator will also be active in promoting the research of the Schools two Research Centres (the Centre for Critical Infrastructure Research (CCIR) and the Centre for Water Resources Research (CWRR)) through School websites, social media handles and through attendance at specific events, such as the annual UCD Festival. 95 Senior Executive Assistant_2010 (0123_X) Salary Scale: €47,203 - €57,399 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
