The Working in Ireland Survey (WIIS) is Ireland’s only survey to track developments in work and employment. It is a major undertaking that surveys over 4,000 workers in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and involves a team of nine researchers drawn from a variety of academic disciplines, including economics, psychology, geography, management and employment relations. The principle objective of the project is to examine the manner in which changes in work affect people’s skills, their experience of work, incomes and well-being and, in turn, the productive performance of organisations and the economy. The most recent survey was conduced in the summer of 2025 and is a repeat of a similar survey conducted in 2021. Further details of WIIS can be found at: https://www.workinginirelandsurvey.com/
