The Role
This newly created role will play a pivotal part in the transformation of the Global Sourcing business unit. The Global Finance Operations Lead will work alongside existing Finance Managers and Heads of Finance across multiple regions, supporting a period of significant organisational change, including integration of global business pillars, process rationalisation, ERP transformation, and support on key M&A projects.
The successful candidate will have end‑to‑end responsibility for global finance operations within the division, working closely with senior leadership to drive operational excellence, unlock synergies, and support sustained growth. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong operational expertise, and the ability to work effectively across jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance operations leadership:
- Lead global month‑end close for the Global Sourcing business unit, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
- Own consolidated CFO‑level monthly reporting across strategic initiatives, profitability, working capital, and cash investment.
- Ensure financial processes support the needs of a fast‑growing commercial organisation.
2. Process rationalisation & continuous improvement:
- Drive end‑to‑end finance process simplification and optimisation across the division.
- Enhance efficiency and control across legal, contractual, and financial workflows.
- Build scalable processes that support the division’s global ambitions.
3. Finance business partnering:
- Strengthen finance partnering with commercial, operational, and leadership teams.
- Provide insights and financial analysis to guide decision‑making and strategic initiatives.
- Build trust and influence across cross‑functional teams globally.
4. ERP & systems transforamtion:
- Act as the finance lead for the division’s transformational ERP project.
- Support system design, testing, integration and implementation.
- Champion data integrity, automation, and standardisation across regions.
5. Governance, controls & compliance:
- Provide oversight of critical finance processes including Provision 29, contract management, and financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to appropriate governance frameworks across all jurisdictions.
- Support evaluation of optimal legal and tax structures for a global scaling business.
6. Strategic projects, Pillar integration & expansion, & M&A support:
- Contribute financial expertise to M&A transactions, including due diligence, integration planning and synergy realisation.
- Support execution of strategic initiatives and global integration activities.
7. Strategic projects, Pillar integration & expansion, & M&A support:
- As the initial standalone role, assess future operating model requirements.
- Propose and support the build‑out of a “Finance of the Future” structure for a global, high‑growth division.
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/ACA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant exposure to world wide markets.
- Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and execution within a multinational organization.
- Experience in building finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.
