Location of Post:

There is currently one Temporary and Part-Time (0.5WTE) vacancy available. Initial assignment will be to the Paediatric Service, Galway University Hospitals. The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for the post of Speech and Language Therapist, Senior (Paediatrics) from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Post Specific Related Information:

• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in working with children with acquired and developmental communication difficulties and FEDS
• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in working with Dysphagia: Speech and Language Therapists who work with people with feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties must hold a dysphagia qualification or equivalent as outlined in “Standards for Practice for Speech and Language Therapists on the Management of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia)” , Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists ( IASLT) 2007.
