Working Pattern (Time/Hours): Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm
Overview of the role:
We are seeking to recruit Engineering Graduates to join our busy Technical and EICA division based in Kilkenny.
As part of our Technical or EICA division, you will be working on a number of engineering activities on a specific project or multiple projects dependent on capacity, size and complexity. Projects will include working on a variety of projects related to WasteWater Treatment Plants and Fresh Water Treatment Plants. The day to day roles will vary depending on the scope of the projects and you will be supported by a Design or Project Manager.

Duties of the Role include;
Assist senior engineers with ESB liaison and learn utility connection requirements
Review and interpret client specifications under supervision
Support the preparation of electrical designs, drawings, and technical submissions
Learn to design lighting, power distribution, and auxiliary systems for water/wastewater facilities
Develop skills in reading and updating single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Gain exposure to instrumentation selection and control system design
Prepare cable schedules, I/O lists, and basic electrical calculations
Assist with panel layout designs (MCC, LCP, MDB) and schematic reviews
Support procurement activities including specification writing and quotation reviews
Attend FAT sessions and learn commissioning documentation requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design, contracts, and automation departments
Build knowledge of relevant standards (Irish, EN, IEC, WIMES)
Participate in site visits to understand design implementation and construction processes
Required skills for this role;
Minimum NFQ Level 8 degree in a Engineering discipline (Required)
Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design /site activities
IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point
Good organisational and time management skills
Self-motivated
Strong communication and writing skills
