HVAC Technician
Location: Blanchardstown
Duration: Permanent
Shift Role
*This is a shift role, working on a biopharma 24/7 site.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Provide high-quality service, maintenance, and technical support for HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, heat pumps, dehumidification systems, ventilation plant, and associated mechanical equipment, in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
Diagnose mechanical and control-system faults, carrying out corrective actions, component replacements, and adjustments to restore system performance and efficiency.
Recommend suitable replacement parts, upgrade options, and refurbishment solutions to support long-term asset reliability and energy performance.
Responsibility for the maintenance, repair, and commissioning ofthe full range of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
Deliver great service to customers whilst working on equipment. E.g., Air Handling Units, chillers, kitchen extract canopies, fire dampers, and controls.
Ensure all customer equipment is in perfect working order, efficient, and effective.
Collaborate with colleagues and the management team as necessary.
Escalate to the direct report of risk items.
Ensure that all customer facilities and services are made available within the requirements of the contract specification, and ensure assets are operating effectively.
Liaise with specialists and suppliers in relation to industry and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure Continuous Professional Development.
Skills & Qualifications Required for the role;
National Trade certification or a bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field Discipline (essential)
Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience working with HVAC or mechanical building services systems in a service, maintenance, or commissioning capacity (essential).
F-Gas certification and strong working knowledge of refrigeration principles (essential).
Solid understanding of HVAC engineering, including air handling, ventilation, dehumidification, heat transfer, and system controls.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults.
Competent in the use of diagnostic instruments for airflow, pressure, moisture content, temperature, and system performance measurement.
Experience working on Industrial refrigeration systems such as stand alone Fridge / Freezers, Incubators, Stability Chambers, and blast freezers
Working in ATEX areas (desirable)
Previous experience of API pharmaceutical Industry (desirable)
Previous experience working on Ammonia refrigeration systems (desirable)
