Summer Placement - Water Treatment

Contract Duration/Type: 6-12 weeks

Location: Vartry

Hybrid/Onsite: Onsite

Working Pattern (Time/Hours): 40 hours Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30


Overview of Role:

The Summer student will learn about all aspects of water treatment on a live site, learning from the multi-disciplinary team. The student will be given certain responsibilities including lab analysis, data gathering in the field, data input and data analytics. 

The summer student will also be assisting the process team in fault-finding, treatment methodologies and process optimisation. The student will also assist the site manager in project management, through procurement, reporting and recording daily plant data from SCADA.

Duties of the Role include; 

  • Recording daily plant data from SCADA 

  • Water sampling and analysis

  • Provide accurate reporting as necessary including inputting and operating  computer maintenance system 

  • General house-keeping cleaning duties 

  • Data analytics and reporting

  • Liaise and interact with the Plant Manager and other operators on site, as well as other contractors from electrical and mechanical


Required skills for this role; 

  • Leaving certificate or equivalent 

  • Job experience in an operational or industrial setting 

  • Willingness to learn new skills and work with other disciplines
