Utilities Engineer
Location: Dunboyne, Co meath
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 39 Hours per week
Overview of the role
To provide Utilities Engineering expertise to the clients site, specifically for the
major site systems e.g. HVAC, Pharmaceutical Water Systems Compressed
Air, Gases, Steam etc.
This role focuses on optimizing equipment and systems performance,
improving reliability, driving continuous improvement, troubleshooting and
Faultfinding.
The job-holder works as part of a multi-functional Utilities team and will be
expected to be flexible and agile in support of the group’s overall mission.
The role will include reviewing compliance documentation and Regulatory
Audit attendance.
Day to Day of the Role:
Become a reliability engineer for all site HVAC / Utility systems e.g. Chilled Water, HVAC, Steam and Boiler systems, Water storage and distribution and the site Fire Systems and GMP Clean Systems.
Gain a full understanding of the core utilities interdependencies and the criticality to all critical and GMP systems on site.
Generate reliability reports for these systems using alarm and event data from Building Management and Manufacturing Control Systems.
Work with site personnel to optimise the current alarm and event management strategy for site utilities systems.
Implement optimisation projects on all systems and ensure systems are operating at optimum e.g. – Instrument replacement, calibration, range assessments etc.
Operate according to SOPs developed for site engineering and maintenance.
Take responsibility for all aspects of reliability projects on utilities. Ensure all reliability projects are executed in line with site Engineering standards and practices.
Management of audit action items generated from various site, corporate, cGMP and EHS audits.
Ensuring Engineering areas, in liaison with Contract Manager and Contract coordinator, facilities and equipment are kept in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and general housekeeping high standards are maintained.
Required Skills for the Role:
Minimum qualification Bsc or MSc/M.Eng Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
A good knowledge of Site Utilities Systems including HVAC, steam, water, gases, waste and Fire systems.
Excellent excel data manipulation and interpretation skills are essential to this role.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
