Utilities Lead Technician
Location: Blanchardstown
Duration: Permanent
39 Hours per week: 07:30 to 16:00
Day to day of the role:
Lead the execution of all aspects relating to Operation and Maintenance of Black Utilities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and internal Quality standards and industry best practice. Work as part of the utilities team and plan work activities in line with maintenance and Process schedule
Review, develop and take ownership of the required processes relating to Black Utilities equipment ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, functional and internal Quality standards and industry best practice with zero impact to the process development, facilities or operations functions
Develop progress reports and highlights possible constraints and issues for Black Utilities Equipment Assist in commissioning activities, Project support and Equipment Vendor Maintenance.
Work with the Utilities Department and Engineering Department to plan and schedule the required Maintenance activities
Manage and support service or equipment vendors when undertaking Maintenance as required to ensure that applicable standards are adhered to.
Liaise with discipline leads to coordinate activities for efficient execution of Maintenance activities. Ensure all PTW and mechanical isolations are in place to perform maintenance works related to mechanical Utilities
Develop cost saving and energy reduction initiatives on black utilities
Updating nGMP maintenance documents and drawings to reflect any changes required and to improve operation of maintenance activities
Coordinate reactive maintenance and preventative maintenance on all Black utilities
Become SME for all black utilities Lead utilities meetings as Black utilities point of contact Work with contract, project vendor groups on all items relating to black utilities
Required skills for this role:
Apprenticeship or 3 rd Level qualification with Mechanical, Electrical Automation Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical utilities or process maintenance
Must have experience working within the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry
Strong practical mechanical knowledge
Previous experience on Delta V control Systems
Knowledge of black utilities including Water for Injection, Process water, Reverse Osmosis
Strong PC skills, particularly MS office suite. (Specifically excel and word)
Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
Strong control system skills relating to Building Management systems
Excellent communications skills
Excellent problem solving skills
