Utilities Shift Technician
Location: Co. Meath
Duration: Permanent
Shift Role
Overview of the role:
This role will work within multi skilled team in a 24/7 production environment, carrying out preventative maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment and undertaking corrective maintenance as required.
Day to day of the role:
Monitoring, operating and first line maintenance of the Utilities equipment in a cGMP environment in accordance with site Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Execution of the day-to-day shift tasks as per requirements
Execute Utilities maintenance and moniroting program in accordance with Computerised Maintenance Management System and relevant Procedures.
Monitor relevant control systems for GMP and Non-GMP alarms.
Escalate alarms in accordance with relevant escalation procedures and SOP’s.
Investigate alarms as per relevant procedures.
Operate utilities equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Operate utilities equipment to maintain high standard of plant uptime in support of Contract KPI’s.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with site maintenance procedures.
Carry out technical investigation.
Carry out field rounds and readings of utilities equipment.
Participate in maintaining high standard of housekeeping and safety.
Operate the Permit to Work system.
Act as lockout coordinator for Control of Hazardous Energy.
Work with vendors and third-party contractors as required.
Collaborate with maintenance and calibration teams on the execution of scheduled calibrations, corrective and preventative work as required to meet contact deliverables.
Ensure complete execution on time of all operations and maintenance activities on specific utilities equipment.
Carry out the review of Utilities Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions as required.
Manage own training curricula.
Liaise with the engineering and commissioning teams on all Utilities Equipment. • Raise reports as required, including safety.
Actively improve equipment and process knowledge through the use of FDS, SOO and Equipment Data Books etc.
The job-holder works as part of a multi-functional Utilities team and will be expected to be flexible and agile in support of the group’s overall mission.
Required skills for the role:
Trade Certificate, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation discipline.or Marine qualification, with at least 2 years’ experience at sea.
Good knowledge of Site Utilities Systems including HVAC, steam, water, gases, waste and fire systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
