Position Summary:
The Plant Manager (Site Leader) directs the activities of a multi-functional operations or site wide team in pursuit of world class customer service. The plant manager is responsible for providing direct leadership and tactical direction to the site and the operations departments, with the goal of creating sustainable competitive advantage and operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery and cost driven by the leveraging of Veralto Enterprise System (VES) and culture.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Oversee site operations across production, maintenance, logistics, and administration, ensuring efficiency and quality
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a strong safety culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams to drive engagement and performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor KPIs, and optimise operational costs
- Manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and local authorities
- Support strategic planning and identify opportunities for growth and innovation
- Oversee budgets, capital expenditures, and resource allocation to meet financial targets
- Provide regular performance reports and updates to senior leadership
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline; or equivalent in experience.
- Lean Practitioner / Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Operations / Manufacturing leadership experience in a manufacturing, ideally in instruments production or a related process manufacturing, with a focus on Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Proven track record of successful implementation of LEAN/Six Sigma manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Planning/Organizing: Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Ability to analyze technical data and proposals.
- Ability to work across all disciplines and levels of the organization in a persuasive and credible manner.
- Provide effective leadership with a passion for driving continuous improvements. Must be fact/data driven with the ability to break down paradigms and barriers.
