The Mechanical Design Technician will:

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

- Reporting to the Department Head this position presents an excellent opportunity to gain
exposure to the Mechanical design aspects of electrical switchgear and contribute to product improvements of same. - The main remit of the role will involve working with senior design engineers and the Switchgear Product
manager in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and documentation for LV Switchgear products and other support functions for this part of the business.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Be enrolled in a third level Engineering course with a bias towards Mechanical Engineering
- An understanding of Engineering Design Principles.
- Working knowledge and experience with SolidWorks.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Experience with MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)
- Standing for long periods.
