This is a site-based role within a busy environment, providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the warehouse and wider project team.
The role would particularly suit an engineering graduate, qualified tradesperson, or someone with a technical background who is organised, comfortable working with systems and documentation, and interested in developing their career within the M&E engineering sector.
Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day administration and operation of the site warehouse.
Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, tools and consumables.
Process and track incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Coordinate material receipts, storage, allocation and issue to project teams.
Ensure delivery documentation, goods received notes and associated records are accurately maintained.
Liaise with procurement, logistics, engineering, supervisors and site teams regarding material requirements and availability.
Assist with stock control, stock counts and inventory reporting.
Track materials and equipment to ensure they are available in line with project requirements.
Maintain organised electronic and physical warehouse records and documentation.
Assist with identifying shortages, discrepancies or damaged materials and escalate as required.
Support the implementation of warehouse procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with site health, safety and quality requirements.
Provide general administrative support to the warehouse and project teams as required.
Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, engineering, construction or technical environment would be advantageous.
An engineering qualification or trade background would be highly desirable, although candidates with strong relevant warehouse or administrative experience will also be considered.
Good understanding of materials, tools and equipment used within an M&E, construction or industrial environment would be an advantage.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Experience using ERP, inventory, procurement or materials management systems would be beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, procurement and site teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
