The Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the position of HR Business Partner is to act as a support and advisor to our Operations teams on all employee and employment related matters. This position reports to the HR Manager, within the Irish team, and supports the overall function within our Irish business. The role is based within our Head Office in Maynooth, Co Kildare, and will require travel to our customer site on a weekly basis.

Person Specification

• 3-4 years’ experience within a fast-paced HR team – experience in a related industry would be beneficial but is not essential
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong ability to effectively communicate, build and maintain working relationships
• Ability to multitask and prioritise – working on own initiative and as part of a team
• The successful candidate must drive and have their own transport

Work Schedule

39-hour regular working week (Monday to Friday)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• To act as a main point of contact for the HR Department relating to employment activities
• Acting as an advisor and support to managers in all areas of people management – providing guidance on applying best practice in carrying out practices and procedures
• To act as main point of contact for all insurance and legal entities
•  Acting as the super user for the HRIS & Time and Attendance system
• To lead/assist and conduct grievance and disciplinary processes as and when required
• To lead/assist with all people management matters – such as probation activities, performance management, onboarding, lifecycle and offboarding
• To lead/assist with any HR related queries from management/employees
• Implementation of policy changes and employee handbook updates in line with changes to legislation as and when necessary
• Collaborating with the Operations team to analyse and deliver on all training and development needs relating to people management and employee engagement
• Assist in the roll-out/implementation of new HR projects & initiatives
• Assist in creation & implementation of employee engagement strategies
• General HR administrative duties
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the HR Manager

Role Requirements

• Strong HRIS & MS Office experience and abilities
• Experience of active involvement in Employee Relations processes is essential
