CMT Technician

Metlab, now part of WH Scott Group, is seeking motivated Lab & Field CMT Technicians to join our dynamic team in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on role, carrying out essential testing and contributing to our commitment to quality and safety in geotechnical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform laboratory and field-testing methods in accordance with standards including BS 1377, EN 933, BS EN 12390, and other geotechnical guidelines.

· Develop and apply computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe for the preparation of test reports and certificates, following approved company templates.

· Adhere to the Company’s documented Quality and Safety systems.

· Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and calibration of all company equipment.

· Maintain organized and accurate records and files.

· Attend and successfully complete training courses on test methods and safety requirements as needed.

· Develop a strong understanding of national, international, and client-specific standards relevant to CMT tests and results interpretation.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Completion of second-level education.

· A Civil Engineering degree or a similar qualification is required for certain aspects of the role.
