We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Mechanical Commissioning (Cx) Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical projects. Reporting to the Cx Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out hands-on mechanical commissioning activities in line with approved commissioning plans and procedures.
- Execute mechanical commissioning protocols including system testing, fault-finding, diagnostics, and functional performance testing.
- Ensure HVAC and mechanical services operate in accordance with design intent, specifications, and performance criteria.
- Witness and support vendor commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with approved project documentation.
- Conduct day-to-day on-site commissioning operations, including system inspections and readiness checks.
- Manage and complete the commissioning tagging process in line with project procedures.
- Track the receipt, review, and compliance of commissioning documentation to achieve required Cx level sign-off.
- Support quality management for on-site service and commissioning activities.
- Ensure commissioning activities are delivered in line with project schedules and milestones.
- Adhere strictly to project Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements at all times.
- Maintain clear communication with commissioning managers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a recognised Mechanical Trade with appropriate training and experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Mechanical Commissioning Engineer role.
- Strong commissioning experience on HVAC and mechanical systems within commercial, industrial, or data centre environments.
- Solid understanding of construction environments and safe systems of work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act decisively.
- Process-driven mindset with a strong focus on EHS and Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships with contractors and vendors on site.
