Analog Devices’ Biosensor Group is expanding its Life Sciences laboratory capabilities to support next-generation biosensor research, blood analytics, materials chemistry, reliability science, and regulated medical device workflows. We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Life Science Lab Development & Operations Manager to lead the design, build-out, commissioning, and long-term management of this new facility in addition to all existing Biosensor Group labs. 
 
Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the Build-Out of New Lab Capabilities 

  • Coordinate the design, setup, and fit out of new laboratory spaces. 

  • Establish workflows, zoning strategies, materials and personnel flows, and gowning/equipment protocols. 

  • Partner with Facilities, EH&S, R&D, and vendors for safe, efficient delivery of new lab areas. 

  • Implement new operational standards, SOPs, and training. 

  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations across All Biosensor Labs 

  • Oversee safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all existing labs. 

  • Optimize lab processes, documentation, and resource usage. 

  • Manage procurement, consumables, chemicals, and assets. 

  • Maintain calibration, maintenance, and repair logs. 

  • Ensure BSL-2 requirements and audit readiness. 

  • Drive Safety, Quality & Compliance 

  • Act as primary liaison with EH&S. 

  • Maintain and improve SOPs, safety processes, and quality controls. 

  • Lead 5S + Safety implementation. 

  • Ensure adherence to ISO-aligned quality systems. 

  • Provide Leadership & Cross-Functional Support 

  • Recruit, supervise, train, and mentor lab staff. 

  • Collaborate with Reliability, R&D, Systems, and Product teams. 

  • Support reliability testing environments and analytical spaces. 

  • Forecast resource needs and manage schedules. 

  • Manage Budget & Lab Investments 

  • Oversee annual operating budgets and lead capital planning and equipment selection. 

  • Evaluate and select vendors and tools for improved capabilities. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements 

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. 

  • 3+ years’ experience in laboratory operations or management. 

  • Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Strong understanding of EHS processes, BSL-2 and biosafety. 

  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. 
     

Desired 

  • Experience leading lab expansions or new capability introductions. 

  • Experience in biosensor development or MedTech environments. 

  • Strong experience with SOPs and safety procedures. 

  • Familiarity with reliability testing workflows.
