Position Summary:

The Head of Strategy Execution & Portfolio Management – Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) provides enterprise leadership for governance, portfolio, and overall budget oversight of the Operational Base & DTAP Portfolio for Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. This role ensures investments are strategically aligned, financially disciplined, and deliver measurable business outcomes while driving agility, cost optimization, and adoption at scale. It also leads technology integration during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, safeguarding continuity and unlocking long-term value. By influencing senior stakeholders and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, this leader enables sustainable transformation across Zoetis’ GMS network.

Position Responsibilities

Governance, Financial & Portfolio Management

  • Provide enterprise-level leadership of the ZTD GMS digital portfolio, ensuring investments align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversee financial stewardship of the portfolio, including multi-year budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and ROI accountability.
  • Ensure disciplined governance through clear program scope, success measures, risk management, and portfolio-level interdependency oversight.
  • Establish KPI frameworks linking digital investments to business value and provide regular visibility to executive stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in portfolio execution and delivery practices.

Strategy Execution and M&A Leadership

  • Translate GMS digital strategy into actionable roadmaps and ensure alignment across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure seamless integration of programs across technology, operations, and business domains.
  • Lead the technology components of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, integration, and separation activities.
  • Partner with senior business and functional leaders to identify risks, synergies, and opportunities, ensuring smooth transitions and long-term value creation

Communications, Change Management & Adoption

  • Provide executive leadership for communication, change, and adoption efforts, ensuring that messages are clear, consistent, and enable new technologies and processes to be embedded across the GMS network.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and engage site leaders through effective communication, balancing global standards with local adoption needs and ensuring alignment at every level.
  • Drive cultural readiness, agility, and sustained adoption by shaping communication strategies that reinforce transformation goals and sustain long-term impact.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a global ZTD GMS PMO & Strategy Execution team with expertise in program management, finance, and change leadership.
  • Provide functional leadership across direct, matrixed, and external teams to ensure consistent delivery practices.
  • Build a high-performing, globally distributed culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Mentor and develop leaders to expand digital, financial, and change management capabilities across the organization. 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, Finance (Master’s preferred).
  • 12+ years in program management, strategy execution, or PMO leadership within global manufacturing, life sciences, or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale digital or transformation programs across multiple geographies.
  • Strong ability to translate digital investments into measurable business outcomes (cost, agility, compliance, efficiency.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive cross-functional alignment, and lead transformation across global organizations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., GxP, data integrity) in a life sciences manufacturing context.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio governance, financial management, and KPI frameworks.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar technology portfolios with responsibility for investment governance, ROI, and cost optimization.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and organizational adoption of digital solutions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment preferred.
  • Global leadership experience across multiple regions and time zones preferred.
  • Track record of enabling digital transformation at scale.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Enterprise IT Strategy & Architecture: Understanding of enterprise technology ecosystems, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), data architecture, and digital transformation frameworks.
  • Program & Portfolio Management Tools: Proficiency in modern portfolio, financial, and analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Anaplan, JIRA, Power BI)..
  • Financial Systems & Analysis: Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan) and strong Excel modeling skills for budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Performance Metrics & Dashboards: Ability to define, track, and communicate KPIs using tools like Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to lead large-scale organizational change and drive adoption of digital and process transformation initiatives.
  • Agile & Hybrid Delivery Models: Certification or practical experience in Agile (and hybrid project delivery approaches.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Experience managing third-party vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level compliance.
  • Technology Innovation & Trends: Awareness of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and automation, and their strategic implications for enterprise operations.
  • GenAI: Experience applying Generative AI to portfolio reporting, scenario planning, or business process optimization (preferred)

Physical Position Requirements:

Travel: Up to 20% required
