Cairn has an exciting opportunity for a HR Systems & Workforce Planning Specialist to join our team.

Location: Dublin / Hybrid

Contract: Full-time, 12 months fixed term

About the Role 

We are seeking a HR Systems & Workforce Planning Specialist to join our People team, with a strong focus on workforce planning, HR data, and systems-enabled decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with a solid data analytics and data management experience who is keen to develop deeper capability in headcount planning, workforce analytics, and Workday reporting, while continuing to support core HR operations and compliance in a private-sector environment.

Key Responsibilities 

Workforce Planning & HR Insights 

  • Support ongoing workforce planning & modelling, including headcount management in partnership with HR and Finance.

  • Track approved vs actual headcount, starters, leavers, role changes, and contingent workers.

  • Support workforce budgeting and forecasting cycles.

  • Analyse attrition, growth trends, and organisational structure, preparing summaries and presentations for management.

  • Prepare workforce planning reports and leadership presentations.

HR Systems (Workday) 

  • Support day-to-day Workday HRIS administration.

  • Assist with configuration updates relating to roles, supervisory organisations, and cost centers.

  • Produce Workday reports supporting workforce planning and people insights.  Support system testing and issue resolution

  • Review and analyze exit interview data, identifying trends and potential action plans.

HR Administration & Compliance 

  • Provide HR administration across the employee lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data.

  • Support compliance with Irish employment legislation and GDPR.

About You 

  • 2–4 years’ experience in HR operations, HR administration, or HR systems support.

  • Experience working with Workday.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power Bi & Microsoft Fabric.

  • Interest in workforce planning, HR systems, or people analytics.
