Remuneration

The salary scale for the post is:

€62,078, €63,106, €63,975, €65,394, €66,963, €68,504, €70,045, €71,779, €73,389, €76,159, €78,443 LSI

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

As per HR Circular 012/25 Please note that previous experience working in the public service counts only where the individual was employed directly by the relevant Civil Service/Public Body. Details of service

This is a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Intellectual Disability) post for Children’s Disability Network Teams in CHO2. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of nursing services as part of the interdisciplinary team providing support to children and young people accessing Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT).

Children’s Disability Network Teams provide services for children and young people with complex difficulties in functional skills and/or applied skill sets required for activities of daily living, learning new skills and social interactions. This may involve physical, social, emotional, communication and behavioural needs.

Post specific requirements

Demonstrate depth and breadth of nursing experience working in disability services as relevant to the role.

Awareness of and sensitivity to the impact of disability throughout the course of the person and their family’s engagement with the service.

Knowledge of intellectual disability, physical & sensory disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

Previous experience of working within a team context.

Other requirements specific to the post

Full Irish driving licence with access to own car on full time basis.
