Payroll Specialist

This is a Specified Purpose Contract based in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. 

 

•         As part of the Payroll Team, run weekly/monthly payrolls for all Dairygold entities in both Ireland and UK covering over 1,200 employees and complete all tasks within set deadlines

•         Liaise and work closely with HR teams regarding payroll amendments, issues and any other general queries

•         Liaise with all legal entity Financial Accountants & Pension Advisors

•         Ability to calculate manual Gross to Net calculations

•         Payment and reconciliation of all 3rd party deductions

•         Implement all legislative changes and any new procedures

•         Complete payroll bank reconciliations

•         Ensuring all relevant tax filings and reconciliations are completed on time – PAYE Modernisation

•         Update of work instructions & SOP’s

•         Involvement in various payroll projects as required

•         Deal with all internal and external payroll queries

•         Participate in ongoing Continuous Improvement initiatives

•         Maintain a high standard of system knowledge and participate in IT upgrades etc. and identify process improvements and adapt to advances in technology.

•         Participate in external and internal audits

•         Any other tasks as assigned by manager

 

•         Ownership of the Employee expense procedure to include processing Irish & UK employee expenses, reviewing and paying these expenses as per internal deadlines and reporting (liaising with HR, IT etc)

•         Input of manual payment requisitions on Oracle

•         Various payments - milk suppliers, grain suppliers, shareholders and creditors payments in all currencies

•         Assistance in the preparation and analysis of month end processes within the Shared Services Function including creditor bank reconciliations
