Role Overview

The Customer Account Manager – Healthcare Division will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of hospital and nursing home customers throughout Ireland, ensuring consistently high levels of service, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.


The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between Elis and our healthcare customers, developing strong long-term relationships while working closely with operational teams to ensure the effective delivery of laundry and textile services.

This is a highly customer-focused role requiring strong relationship management, commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively across multiple customer sites and internal teams.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of hospital and nursing home accounts across Ireland, building strong and lasting customer relationships.
  • Act as the main customer contact, managing service delivery, queries, complaints and escalations.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, service reviews and business meetings to ensure high service standards.
  • Manage contract renewals, retention and account growth, identifying opportunities for additional services and revenue.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Operations, Transport, Production and Sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor account performance, KPIs, customer feedback, stock requirements and service levels, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support healthcare contract mobilisation, ensuring customer requirements and operational standards are delivered effectively.
  • Prepare customer reports, proposals and account reviews while maintaining accurate CRM and reporting records.
  • Ensure healthcare quality, hygiene and infection control requirements are understood and consistently maintained.
  • Achieve key business objectives including customer retention, revenue growth and debt collection.


 Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in account management, customer service or business development, ideally within healthcare, laundry, textiles, facilities management or a related service industry.
  • Experience working with hospitals, nursing homes or healthcare organisations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management and strategic account development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer requirements.
  • Highly organised, proactive and results oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers at all levels, from operational teams through to senior management.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
  • Experience within textile, linen, laundry or facility service solutions would be a strong advantage.
