The Role: This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Health, Safety and Environmental team where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different tasks, gaining valuable experience with one-to-one mentorship from a member of our management team. We will give you the tools, support and resources you need to succeed. The ideal candidates will work closely with our team working on various projects across the Munster region. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are currently studying at 3rd level and wish to develop a career in Health and Safety, while working with one of Ireland’s fastest growing engineering companies.
The Specific Responsibilities:
Administration tasks including training and induction records
Assisting with regular site audits
Assisting project teams where required
Management of subcontractor files
Record and analyse information on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages and losses, and review the overall HSE performance during project execution
Conduct the HSE induction training for employees and subcontractors staff on-site
Assist in the HSE improvement areas and to initiate, recommend and provide solutions.
Assisting in carrying out internal and external HSE audits (In line with ISO 45001:2018 ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management ISO 09001:2015 Quality Management OSHAS 18001 standard).
Contribute to a co-operative working environment within the department
The Requirements:
Currently completing Health and Safety at Third Level
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Self-motivated / Ability to work on their own initiative
Proficient with IT including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Own vehicle and full clean drivers licence
Willingness to travel to various different sites and offices nationwide
