About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support to employees through tickets, Microsoft Teams, email, telephone and in-person assistance.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system and application issues.
• Support the setup, configuration and deployment of laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including user account creation, device preparation and equipment collection.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Assist with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID administration under the guidance of senior team members.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic networking issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, printers and connectivity problems.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and support hardware lifecycle processes.
• Assist with meeting-room technology, conferencing equipment and office IT infrastructure.
• Create and update IT documentation, knowledge-base articles and user guides.
• Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and communication with end users.
• Participate in IT projects, office technology improvements and operational initiatives.
• Follow company IT security policies, standards and best practices.
• Develop technical skills through on-the-job training, mentoring and self-learning opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Recently completed a degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT support or infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable

• Previous internship, placement, part-time IT support experience or relevant project work.
• Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory or endpoint-management tools.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi.
• Experience working with service-desk or ticketing systems.
• Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical training would be advantageous.
