This internship is a great opportunity for someone starting their legal career who wants hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing international engineering business. You’ll join our in‑house legal team based in Limerick (with hybrid working options) and gain exposure to real commercial, contractual and regulatory work.

About the Internship

As a Legal Intern, you will support H&MV Engineering’s in‑house legal team across a variety of tasks. You’ll work closely with Senior Legal Counsel and other team members, learning how legal issues are managed within a global engineering company.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting contract review — assisting with reviewing and preparing commercial agreements, including construction‑related contracts with clients, partners and suppliers.

• Legal research — researching relevant laws, regulations and industry standards in Ireland and other jurisdictions where H&MV operates.

• Helping with contract management — maintaining and organising the legal documents library, templates and NDAs.

• Assisting with dispute matters — supporting the commercial and operations teams with background research on contract issues or claims.

• Policy and template updates — helping draft or update internal policies and standard documents.

• Cross‑border coordination — liaising with external legal advisors in Ireland, the UK and the EEA under supervision.

• General legal support — assisting with ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise.

What We’re Looking For

• A student or recent graduate with an interest in commercial, corporate or construction law.

• Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

• A team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different departments.

• Eagerness to learn and the ability to take initiative when working on tasks.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple small projects at once.
