About the Role:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports and board packs, including revenue and overheads variance analysis.
- Preparing and reviewing the budgets against actual results and identifying trends, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Support the monthly forecasting and support to drive revenue maximisation, identify variances, and developing mitigation plans.
- Supporting the preparation and presentation of the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Supporting the overhead review process and act as a business partner to the functional leaders to support overhead cost control.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and commentary, driving meaningful insight to department managers and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Acting as a key interface between the wider H&MV business and the Group Finance team.
- Support the development of H&MV's long-term financial plans and strategy.
- Support in establishing financial controls and governance throughout the business.
- Support other internal projects and ongoing commercial initiatives, such as office strategy, business stream reviews, and business cases, to drive cost-effective growth.
- Active participant in department productivity, ensuring processes are streamlined, improving the speed of month-end delivery, etc.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
Key Requirements
- Third Level Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Interest in persuing a career in Accounting, with interest in learning about accounting regulations and practices.
- Strong financial analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach towards business issues.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
