Overview As Assistant Store Manager of The Cosmetics Company Store at Kildare Village, you will play a key role in leading an exciting, fast-paced beauty destination representing a portfolio of world-renowned Estée Lauder brands. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead and develop a high-performing team, drive commercial performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience, while ensuring the store maintains a vibrant, engaging and premium environment on a day-to-day basis. You will be accountable for: Supporting, coaching and developing the team to deliver strong sales and service. Driving daily commercial performance and achieving store targets. Leading by example on the shop floor and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Maintaining brand, visual and operational standards. Taking ownership of the store in the Store Manager’s absence. Identifying opportunities to improve sales, service and overall store performance. Responsibilities Supporting the Store Manager Work closely with the Store Manager to support the overall commercial success and development of the store. Act as a key support and sounding board to the Store Manager, contributing to commercial planning, decision-making and new initiatives. Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, KPIs and wider business objectives. Assist with the planning and execution of store campaigns, promotions, events and brand initiatives. Take ownership of agreed projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered effectively and on time. Support communication and alignment across the management team, ensuring the Store Manager’s priorities are effectively delivered. Take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager, providing clear leadership, decision-making and direction to the management and wider store team. Represent the Store Manager and the business professionally with internal teams, brand partners and key stakeholders when required. Team & Leadership Support the Store Manager in creating a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture. Work alongside the management team to support communication, engagement and colleague development. Assist the Store Manager with coaching, performance management and team development where required. Lead by example, demonstrating the standards, behaviors and customer focus expected across the store. Support manager in delegation and development of team members. Brand & Customer Experience Support the Store Manager in maintaining the store as a premium destination representing world-renowned Estée Lauder brands. Help ensure brand standards and the overall customer experience consistently reflect the expectations of the business. Use customer and commercial insight to identify opportunities to improve the store experience and performance. Support the Store Manager in building the store’s profile and developing opportunities that increase customer engagement and loyalty Qualifications Essential Management or supervisory experience in retail and/or a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment. IT skills essential, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint presentations. Experience in people management, team leadership or supervision. Proven ability to contribute to sales performance through KPIs, commercial insight and team engagement. Confident and inspiring leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a diverse team. Strong commercial awareness in a fast-paced, service-led environment. Effective communication, organisational, prioritisation and delegation skills. Eligible to live and work in the EU. Experience within beauty, cosmetics, fashion, luxury or premium retail would be advantageous. Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
