We have a vacancy for a Foodservice Business Development Manager.

Role Purpose:

To develop a defined territory as outlined by the Area Sales Manager in conjunction with the SME Sales Manager with total responsibility for sales, debt, margin and profit.

What you’ll be doing:

Role and responsibilities:

  • Deliver and exceed agreed territory sales, profit and margin targets across the (Marketplace) with all customer types across the business.
  • Develop the territory by managing a prospect list to secure new customers
  • Drive growth through expanding the range that is currently being supplied to existing accounts.
  • Maintain all your accounts within Musgrave MarketPlace agreed credit terms.
  • Manage all customer contracts including managing pricing and range to maximise profitability
  • Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
  • Provide accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information to the ASM’s, General Manager in Branch & wider business
  • Ensure the correct product mix in each account thus ensuring maximum profitability.
  • Ensure full co-operation with all Sales functions eg Area Sales Managers, Floor Managers etc. to ensure maximum growth in your specific territory.
  • Responsibility for driving Hamper & Corporate gifting sales in the Branch. Contacting all Gold & Silver customers to ensure we have attained repeat sales. Driving new business within Corporate gifting exhausting all opportunities.

Complete all administration as required including Journey plans, Daily Sales Reports, Record Cards and Prospect lists.

 What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Understanding of Foodservice, SME & Retail customer types.
  • Networking (sales community)
  • Experience/ knowledge in food industry or in direct foodservice sales (competitors/ range/ customers)
  • Proven track record in proactive field sales and achieved targets.
  • Professional Selling skills
  • Customer focused
  • Commercial awareness
  • Administration skills, planning and time management skills
  • Forwarding thinking with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Can do Attitude
  • Ability to change, adapt and be flexible
  • Leaving Cert / GCSE.
  • Full clean driving licence
