Products & Propositions Manager – Pinergy
Role Purpose
At Pinergy, the Product & Proposition Manager is responsible for turning customer, market, and energy system insights into tangible product improvements and new energy propositions. The role focuses on evolving Pinergy’s core offerings (e.g. business & residential electricity, commercial solar, acutrace utility measurement & EV solutions) while designing innovative products that support the transition to a smarter, more sustainable energy future.
This role plays a critical part in delivering change—bridging insight, commercial thinking, and execution to ensure Pinergy remains at the forefront of customer-centric & innovative energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Insight-Led Product Evolution
- Leverage internal data, customer behaviour insights, and market intelligence to identify opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable product enhancements across Pinergy’s existing portfolio
- Continuously refine structures, features, and customer journeys to improve engagement and value in conjunction with CX, Pricing and Commercial teams
- Ownership of Core Products
- Manage performance of Pinergy’s core propositions
- Monitor key customer metrics such as churn, customer engagement, and satisfaction for insights
- Identify and deliver improvements to enhance customer outcomes and commercial performance
- Ensure full alignment with CRU regulations and industry compliance requirements
- New Proposition Development
Design and develop new offerings aligned to the energy transition, including:
- EV tariffs and charging propositions
- Smart home and demand response solutions
- Define target segments, value propositions, and product / pricing strategies
- Build data-driven business cases to support investment decisions
- Delivering Change (End-to-End)
- Lead & convert product ideas into deliverable change across systems, processes, and customer experience
- Work closely with technology, data, commercial and operations teams to implement changes
- Contribute to prioritisation within agile delivery frameworks
- Ensure successful go-to-market execution including customer communications and internal readiness
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the link between commercial, data, regulatory, technology, and customer teams
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues on proposition positioning and campaigns
- Engage with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure product integrity
- Present insights, recommendations, and performance updates to senior leadership
- Customer-Centric & Digital Innovation
- Champion simplicity, transparency, and control in all Pinergy products
- Use customer feedback, behavioural data, and testing to validate and refine propositions
- Support digital innovation across apps, portals, and smart energy tools
- Ensure propositions empower customers to better manage their energy usage and costs
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in product or marketing management, proposition development, or commercial roles (ideally in energy, utilities, or telco/fintech with similar models)
- Strong analytical capability—comfortable working with smart meter data and customer insights
- Proven ability to take ideas from insight → business case → delivery
- Commercial mindset with pricing and P&L awareness
- Experience delivering change in cross-functional, agile environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of the Irish energy market and CRU regulatory environment
- Experience with Pinergy product models, time-of-use tariffs, or subscription-based products
- Experience working with digital products (apps, customer platforms, data-led services)
