Junior MES Consultant: Do you want to help leading life sciences companies accelerate digital manufacturing and drive operational excellence through MES solutions? To strengthen our Smart Manufacturing team in Europe, we are looking for a German-speaking Junior MES Consultant with a pharmaceutical/life sciences background and a strong interest in IT/technology, including MES, manufacturing systems, and integrations. You do not need extensive MES platform experience to apply. At NNIT, we help customers improve manufacturing processes through digitalization, standardization, and modern technologies. Our Smart Manufacturing team works closely with global pharmaceutical companies on both local and international MES programs—supporting everything from strategy and design to implementation and optimization. You will join an international team of experienced consultants who combine deep industry insight with strong technical expertise to deliver solutions in complex, regulated production environments. Your responsibilities: As a Junior MES Consultant, you will support MES deliveries and contribute to our customers’ digital manufacturing journey. Depending on your interest and development plan, your tasks may include: Supporting customer workshops and discussions related to MES use cases, goals, and requirements Participating in analysis of manufacturing and production processes within life sciences Supporting MES implementation work under guidance from senior consultants Collecting, structuring, and documenting business requirements and translating them into clear functional descriptions Supporting activities related to solution/vendor assessments (e.g., preparing materials, documenting findings) Assisting with interfaces and integration topics between MES, ERP (e.g., SAP), and automation systems Collaborating with stakeholders across production, quality, engineering/automation, and IT Contributing to project documentation and ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory expectations Taking part in knowledge sharing and learning activities within the Smart Manufacturing team Your qualifications and experience: We are looking for a junior profile with a life sciences mindset, strong curiosity for technology, and the ability to learn quickly in structured project environments. Degree in IT, Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field (or equivalent relevant education) Background from the pharmaceutical/life sciences domain (e.g., studies, work experience, internships, or projects) Basic understanding of manufacturing concepts in regulated environments (GxP awareness is a plus) Interest in (and willingness to learn about) MES, IT/OT concepts, and data/integration topics Basic understanding of IT systems and integrations Strong communication and stakeholder skills Structured and well-organized approach to work Ability to work both independently and in international teams Strong documentation habits and a constructive problem-solving mindset Fluent communication skills in German and English — only candidates with business fluency in German can be considered, so please apply only if you meet this requirement What we offer: At NNIT, you will become part of a professional and collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, trust, and development are highly valued.
