This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Occupational Therapist to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.
The Occupational Therapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence-based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family-centred practice.
We currently have permanent position available in Coolock Children’s Disability Network Team. We are interested in applications from occupational therapists seeking both full-time work and part time work.

The successful candidate must have the following:
Essential Criteria
- Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy accredited to the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
- Fully registered or registration in process with CORU.
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical working experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with families and children with a range of disabilities.
- Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self directed manner.
- Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
- Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services
- Evidence of continuing professional in leadership/mentoring/supervision.
- Experience with clinical supervision including students. Health and Social Care Professionals
- Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development in the relevant area.
Desirable Criteria
- Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a children’s disability service.
- Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised seating/postural management course completed.
- Experience in the implementation of sensory integration approaches with a recognised sensory integration course completed.
- Previous experience related to Assessment of Need.
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car
Salary scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with the HSE Senior Occupational Therapist consolidated pay scales - Point 1 65,197 to Point 9 76,767 per annum.
- Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
