Position: Health & Safety Officer
Reporting to: EHS Manager
Location: Dublin 12 (with travel to Meath, Wicklow, and Galway)
Department: Environmental, Health & Safety
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent (subject to 6-month probation)
Work Type: On-site role
Role Overview
The Health & Safety Officer will support and strengthen health and safety compliance across the business. The role focuses on maintaining systems, improving safety culture, and ensuring best practice is implemented across all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety advice to management and colleagues
- Maintain and update the company Safety Statement, risk assessments, and procedures
- Conduct site and fleet safety inspections and spot checks
- Support ISO 45001 compliance and ongoing certification
- Investigate incidents and accidents, including reporting via the HSA portal
- Manage the internal accident reporting system and documentation
- Conduct internal compliance audits in line with legislation and best practice
- Deliver and support staff training, including toolbox talks
- Review contractor RAMS and prepare internal RAMS
- Maintain and update site safety signage
- Coordinate occupational health programmes (vaccination, dust, noise, VDU, fire drills)
- Liaise with departments to promote safety awareness
- Ensure contractor compliance and documentation is up to date
- Produce monthly and annual H&S KPI reports
- Provide cover within the EHS team as required
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar H&S role
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (Degree or Diploma)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Reports to: EHS Manager
Internal: EHS team, supervisors, managers, all staff
External: HSA, contractors, training providers, occupational health services
