Yard Operative/Forklift Driver

TJ O’ Mahony Tullamore, Axis Business Park, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35 YP86 part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands’ leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, Permanent Yard Operative/Forklift Driver to join our Team

Job Purpose: Yard Operative/Forklift Driver is to support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the yard by receiving, storing, picking and loading materials, operating the forklift, and assisting customers with collections and deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials.

·       Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery documentation.

·       Pick, prepare and load customer orders accurately and safely.

·       Organise and maintain stock within the yard and warehouse.

·       Assist customers with collections and provide a professional service.

·       Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

·       Complete daily forklift checks and report any defects or issues.

·       Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.

·       Assist with stock checks and stocktaking when required.

·       Work effectively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the yard.

·       Complete relevant paperwork accurately.

·       Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Requirements:

·       Previous yard, warehouse or building merchant experience desirable.

·       Valid forklift licence/certification.

·       Previous forklift operating experience.

·       Full clean Driver Licence

·       Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

·       Ability to work in a busy environment.

·       Good attention to detail.
