Post Summary:
The Postgraduate Programmes & Operations Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational management of flagship postgraduate programmes within the Department of Political Science, alongside oversight of departmental financial administration and coordination with School-level functions (including timetabling, planning, and academic governance).
The role operates with significant autonomy and acts as the principal professional services lead for postgraduate provision within the Department. The postholder contributes to departmental planning, financial sustainability, academic administration, and cross-School operational coordination.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
This is a specific purpose appointment, which is intended to provide temporary backfill cover for the permanent postholder for a period of authorised leave. As the postholder is expected to return, this role is not being offered on an indefinite basis. Should the postholder not return, the position will be filled through open competition.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€47,848 - €59,847 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
